Our Mission
North Macomb
Soccer Club is a competitive youth soccer club operating
as a non-profit organization and is dedicated to the
boys and girls who play the game. The mission
of NMSC is to promote good sportsmanship, character,
and values through a high level of organized soccer competition. The
club was established in 1979 and has dedicated itself
to the development of individual and team soccer skills
through USSF licensed coaches and professional trainers. The
club is a member of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association
and also runs the Romeo Peachfest Soccer Tournament on
Labor Day weekend each year. We are primarily centered
in the northern part of Macomb County.
Our Program
Over the past several
years the club has experienced significant growth as
more families discover the value that NMSC offers and
the commitment to their kids. NMSC
has teams playing in State Premier league (MSPSP) and
also in the Michigan Youth Soccer League (MYSL). Paul
Kastens, our Director of Coaching, was named the 2006
Coach of the year by MYSL.
North Macomb Soccer Club has a tiered team system which consists of three levels of commitment. At the recreation level the North Macomb Community Youth League is for athletes who are interested in playing soccer but may not be ready to commit to a year round schedule. All games are on Saturdays and the teams are evenly balanced with the emphasis being on FUN. The Club program includes travel teams that are coached and managed by parents and volunteers within the team. The Elite program consists of teams that play soccer year round and are coached and trained by club appointed trainers. The “Club” and “Elite” teams are formed each year at North Macomb’s tryouts in June and the “Community League” allows registration year round.
