ODP State Pool
Congratulations to Austin Ruggles for being selected to the Michigan ODP team. Austin qualified for U17 ODP State pool this past summer then went on to make the state team in January. Austin plays for the U17 Gunners coached by Eric Ruggles.

Congratulations to Marisa Oleksiak for being selected to the Michigan 95 ODP team. Last year Marisa was named to the State ODP pool. with her hard work and dedication she was able to come back this year and make the state team. Marisa plays for Storm96A coached by Paul Kastens.

7th Annual Norcross Nike Cup, December 6-8,2008
The U15 P1 NMSC Girls Thundercats traveled to Atlanta Georgia to play in the Norcross Nike Cup. This was a national showcase event, where over 400 elite teams competed in 56 different divisions. The Thundercats were placed in the Champions division for their age group, where they faced state championship and regional teams from Florida, Georgia and Ohio. The Thundercats were 1-1-1 after a hard fought tie against Ohio, a late go-ahead goal against Georgial (for the win) and eventually lost to the Tournament Champions, Florida by one goal. The Thundercats finished the tournament with a fifth place finish out of fourty U15 teams from around the country. Exciting plans for the next year include the Texas shoot-out or the Orlando College Showcase. 
The Thundercat lineup includes: Kristina Sobel, Megan Bart, Katie Boe, Lauren Bolhuis, Natalie Ciolino, Nina Ciolino, Alex Dunn, Madison Kauzlarich, Natalie Tappen, Rachael Eklund, Natalie Tuscany, Miranda Viaene, Anna Vess, Megan Michels, Jen Jurcak and Jessie Lofts. U15 Girls take 2nd at the Troy Elite Cup Tournament
(August 23, 2008) The NMSC U15 Girls Lightning took second after going 3-0 in the group stage then coming up a little short in the final. It was a good tournament with mostly P1 and P2 teams. We are very proud of our girls and how well they did, and congratulations to the girls and Coach Ruggles!
U13 Girls Win the St Clair Shores Waterfront Invitational
(August 17, 2008) The NMSC U13 Storm 96A girls defeated Storm 96B 3-0 to win the gold. It was a well played game by both teams. Congratulations on a job well done to the Storm 96A girls and Coach Paul Kastens!
